11 Fun Colour Palettes for 2024

Planning a party, designing invitations or just looking for some colour inspiration? Well, look no further than this extensive 11 part list of hot new colour palettes and trends for 2024.

This article is a fun exploration on new colour palettes and trends by the creative directors at Ethos Events. In other words, its colour trends chosen by us and what we like, enjoy!

Blue, Orange & Pink (or BOP)

I can just see these colours as a beautiful bridal shower invitation and colour palette for decor. We are thinking orange slices, pink decor and little blue highlights. We just can’t wait to design some graphics with this colour palette. You can find the colour hex codes on the website through the image!

Pastel Blues & Deep Reds

It’s giving chic, elegance, style. Perfect for an engagement or your brand’s launch party perhaps? Blues and reds are not so commonly used together but these shades are just to die for. I can just see it now, pastel blue arches with deep red roses and florals.. ughhhh swoon!

Purples, Reds & Yellow

Absolutely obsessed with this colour palette! It’s serious yet fun, its luxurious, its giving happy autumn. We are envisioning this on a long dining table, a cherry red table cloth drapes onto the floor for the drama. White tableware with lilac and purple accents in the serviettes and name cards. Deep purple chalices and goblets, gold cutlery and yellow and purple draping florals as the tables centrepiece. Are you just as obsessed with this as us!?

Ice Blues

We love a monochrome and will never get over our ice blues, especially since we have the most perfect backdrop to fit in this colour palette. Our blue starry night, have a look at the way we styled it for Elias’ first birthday and baptism. Elias’ mum has accents of gold on her invites that she wanted us to incorporate and that we did. What do you think, did we succeed?

Red, Pinks, Black & Grey

You were all obsessed with the red, pinks and oranges last year. So we raise you one here with the red, pinks, black & grey. Keep it girly and fun with the pinks and add some elegance with your grey and black. Imagine the themes we could get out of this, I can’t wait to design an invite to this. Who’s keen to throw a watermelon party?

Pinks, Blues & Beige

Is this not the perfect colour palette for a gender reveal party!!! Good things we’ve already used it, however we accentuated a little more on the nudes and allowed the pinks and blues to battle it out for themselves. It is at the end of the day a battle of the sexes.

Black, Greens, Blue & Grey

Sick of the typical ‘boy party’ colour palettes, well then this one is for you. A take on the traditional blue and green but muted, sophisticated and well put together. We can just see it now, the gorgeous birthday banner in these colours with your son’s name in black. Stunning!

Pinks & Silver

For our girlies & boys who LOVE their pinks, we’ve got you. But more specifically for our brides to be who love pinks and want to get their disco on check out our amazing last disco backdrop!

Oranges & Greys

You can’t tell me this isn’t the perfect colour palette for those who love their neutrals but also wants something a little different. Theres just something about a burnt orange that is so stylish and we are here for it! This just might our next go to colour palette, we are obsessed!

Deep Brown, Pink & Oranges

We know we just did an orange one but how could we miss this!! Now this would be STUNNING for a bridal shower, think moody and bright. The contrast would be everything in your photos!

Blues & Orange

Okay, we are sensing a bit of a pattern here… orange may be sticking around from last year. The least we can do is introduce her to a couple new colours other than pink and red right!? How gorgeous is this one, the deep blues and the orange, ahhhh!

That concludes some of the 11 colour palettes we are predicting to be on trend this year. I guess we’ve caught a little bit of a pattern with our oranges in this article. We will be happy to use any colour palette your heart desires of course, but we just love to experiment and try out new things! Who know, you might be the one to start the new trend in 2024.

With love,
