Invitations that Sparkle

Send out invites that shimmer and shine, setting the tone for a magical event. Think glittery paper, fairy wings, and delicate floral accents. We actually have a really good blog post on how to design the perfect invites on a budget! If you’re interested you can read it here!

Fairy Decor Delights

Deck your party area with fairy-inspired decor. Think pastel colours, sparkling fairy lights, and whimsical mushroom props. Perfectly enough our fairy first set-up includes most of these things, even the whimsical giant mushroom prop, take a closer look;
Our giant mushroom was designed and hand made in house, it was the first of its kind we made so there was a lot of exploration and trial and error. In the end we were happy with the outcome and think she looks gorgeous!

Fairy Dress Code: Every Child a Fairy

For your child’s first birthday, invite all the little guests to become part of the enchantment. Include the dress code on the invites, dress code: fairy. Think about investing in some adult fairy wings too, who says we have to miss out on all the fun. Pictured below our ‘Fairies Only’ sign, an add on with our magical fairy first backdrop!

Fairy Attire

Encourage young guests to dress as fairies, elves, or woodland creatures. This adds to the charm of the celebration and creates wonderful photo opportunities. Don’t forget to include this on your invites and if your giving your guests a little grief, create a Pinterest board with the dress code vibe your going for.

Wings and Wands

Provide fairy wings and wands as party favours. Watch as the children twirl around in their newfound fairy personas. Or even better, organise a wand decorating station to entertain the kids.

Fairy Feast: A Magical Menu

Craft a menu that appeals to both children and adults, while keeping the fairy theme in mind. You don’t need to go crazy and create everything in pastel colours and fairy themes. But an easy hack to keep on theme is to use fairy themed food labels and signage.

Fairy Bites

Offer a variety of finger foods and mini sandwiches. Create fairy-shaped cookies and cakes adorned with edible flowers and glitter.

Potion Station

Set up a colorful, non-alcoholic “potion” station with fruit juices and sparkling water. Let the children mix their own magic potions.

Fairy Activities: Enchanted Entertainment

Keep the young ones engaged with delightful activities.

Storytime

Host a fairy tale storytelling session. Create a cozy nook with soft pillows and read aloud from classic fairy tales.

Craft Corner

Provide materials for making fairy crowns or magic wands. Encourage creativity and imagination.

Fairy First Birthday Cake: The Sweet Finale

The birthday cake is the centerpiece of the celebration.

Fairy Cake

Choose a fairy-themed cake or a classic design with fairy cake toppers. Don’t forget to capture the moment as your child smashes the first bite. Take a look at what Alara’s mum organised for her little fairies first brithday;

Fairy Party Favors: Tokens of Enchantment

Send your young guests home with a piece of the magic.

Fairy Dust

Create small vials of “fairy dust” (glitter) as party favors. Personalize them with each child’s name.

Mini Fairy Gardens

Give each child a mini potted plant and fairy figurine, so they can grow their own little fairy garden.

Thank You for Making Magic

As your Fairy First Birthday celebration comes to a close, extend your heartfelt gratitude to all the little fairies and their families for making the day so special.
