How to Make Invitations

Looking to create your own invitations for your next event? Follow these useful tips on how and where to create, design and print your invites.

Create, Design & Print your Invitations

If you’re after the quickest and easiest way to get your invites done, then this is how. There are many website where you can design and print your invites all in the one place. But one of our absolute favourites would be vistaprint.
Vistaprint have 2 unique invite sizes to choose from 10.7xm x13.9cm & 11.7 x 18.2cm. We recommend getting your ruler out and drawing the dimensions down on a larger piece of paper to really understand the sizing. The first option (which we’ve used multiple times) may be a bit smaller than your envisioning.
Once you’ve decided on your invite size you get to choose your design template. Vistaprint have over 500 designs and keep them on trend. There is really no stopping what you can create with their design templates. You can also upload your own design (more on this later)

Here’s one from vistaprint we will use as an example, isn’t she gorgeous!? Some more options they give you to add to your invites is embossed foil in gold, rounding your invitation corners and the texture of your card stock. The options really are endless with vistaprint (also no, we aren’t sponsored.. we wish!)
Once your design is ready to go, you can print through their site and sit back and wait for your gorgeous invites to arrive. We have found vistaprint is best for quality and price and even have really quick delivery!

Do The Same Thing With Canva

If you scrolled through Vistaprint and didn’t find something you loved there are many other websites and apps that offer design templates. The most famous recently is of course Canva, which does have a free subscription with limited access to their design templates. However, their limited templates still include 1m+ according to their website. You can of course get Canva Pro for $164.99 a year, at the time of writing this article. Canva’s free subscription will suffice for most we believe. Their designs are super on trend and really cool, in our opinion.

Overall, we have only given you 2 options to choose from but given the amount of content between the both of them, that is enough! We will let you decide on which one you’d like to go with. Maybe even try both? Who knows its all up to you.
